Nina Shah, MD, is a board-certified hematology and medical oncology physician and an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco in San Francisco.
She serves as Contributing Editor for the Journal of Patient-Centered Research & Reviews and is an editorial reviewer for at least 5 peer-reviewed journals. For her leadership in multiple myeloma, Dr. Shah has received multiple awards including the Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology Award given by Columbia University (2008-2012), the Janice Davis Singletary Fellowship for Lymphoma Research Award given by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (2009), and the Clifton D. Howe Award for Clinical Excellence also given by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (2008). Dr. Shah serves as Co-Chair of the Plasma Cell Disorder and Adult Solid Tumor Working Committee of the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research and is a member of the Scientific Committee on Plasma Cell Neoplasia of the American Society of Hematology (ASH). She is a 2009 graduate of the Clinical Research Training Institute of the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
Dr. Shah has authored or coauthored at least 95 peer-reviewed journal articles and at least 3 book chapters. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, ASH, and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Dr. Shah’s clinical research focus includes multiple myeloma and immunology.
