Narjust Duma, MD, is a board-certified medical oncology physician, an Associate Director of the Cancer Care Equity Program, and a thoracic oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr Duma will work to develop strategies that aim to diminish healthcare disparities in oncology, as well as enhance the delivery of cancer care to the greater Boston community. She has served as Co-Leader of the Internal Medicine Interest Group for the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion, Effectively Serving the Underserved, and Social Determinants of Health Task Forces for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) as well as the National Lung Cancer Roundtable for the Lung Cancer in Women Task Force. Dr Duma is the Founder of the Women in Medicine Group at Mayo Fellows Association/Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education and Co-Founder of #LatinasinMedicine. Dr Duma serves as Chair of the Patient Education Committee at the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and is an Investigator for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. Dr. Duma is the principal investigator of the Sexual Health Assessment in Women with Lung Cancer (SHAWL) Study, the largest effort to date that is evaluating sexual dysfunction in women with lung cancer. She is an ad hoc reviewer for at least 8 peer-reviewed journals.
