Debra Patt, MD, PhD, MPH, MBA, FASCO, is Full Clinical Professor at the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas.
A leader in clinical cancer informatics and research, Dr Pratt currently serves in multiple leadership roles including President of the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology, Chair of the Council on Legislation for the Texas Medical Association, Executive Vice President of Policy and Strategic Initiatives at Texas Oncology, Service Line Lead of Breast Health in the Division of Women’s Health Services at the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Medical Director and Chair of the Pathways Task Force for The US Oncology Network and McKesson Specialty Health, Board of Directors and Executive Committee member of the Community Oncology Alliance, Chair of the Breast Cancer Council Research Council for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Portals Advisory Board member for McKesson Specialty Health, and National Policy Board member for The US Oncology Network.
She is the principal investigator for predictive analytics to predict and reduce hospitalizations in patients with advanced cancer. Dr Patt is the recipient of the Ruth Baines Young Physician of the Year Award from the Travis County Medical Society (2014) and the Young Investigator and Merit Awards from ASCO (2006). She is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Oncology-Clinical Cancer Informatics. Dr Patt has authored or coauthored at least 64 peer-reviewed journal articles. Her clinical research focus includes clinical cancer informatics and research.
